Michigan Rugg Artistes host at Museum

A sample of a work by the Michigan Rugg Artistes Guild of Dearborn on display at the McFaden Ross House. A special reception, open to the public,will be April 11.

DEARBORN – The public is invited to the Michigan Rugg Artistes Guild of Dearborn’s reception at 7:30 p.m. April 11 at the Dearborn Historical Museum’s McFadden Ross House, 915 S. Brady St.

The exhibit showcases the Guild members’ hand made works reflecting the intricate design of early American hooked rugs.

The exhibit will run through June 9 at the McFadden Ross House during regular business hours, 1 to 5 p.m. through May 1, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 2 through June 9.

Additional works are also on display in the glass cases in the concourse next to the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 13615 Michigan Ave.
