Dearborn and Dearborn Heights held ceremonies on Memorial Day to honor America’s fallen military personnel. Above, at ceremonies following Dearborn’s Memorial Day Parade, parade grand marshal Donald C. Winter (third from left), former Secretary of the Navy, receives a folded American Flag on behalf of families of four soldiers who died without resources and whose cremains had been in a local funeral home since the 1980s. Below, Col. Rod Faulk, U.S. Army Reserve, speaks to the attendees of Dearborn Heights’ service at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
