DEARBORN — Award-winning political cartoonist Derf Backderf will give a slide show talk for his graphic novel “My Friend Dahmer” at 2 p.m. June 16 at Green Brain Comics, 13210 Michigan Ave.
In his book, Backderf creates a sympathetic portrait of a disturbed young man struggling against the morbid urges emanating from the deep recesses of his phyche — a shy, teenage alcoholic and a goofball who never quite fit in with his classmates.
Backderf will sign copies of his book immediately after the slide show talk.
