HEIGHTS — A man is recovering after being shot in the leg at a local liquor store June 19.
The unidentified man walked into Dearborn Heights Liquor store on Warren and Beech Daly roads, during a robbery and was shot, according to published reports.
The suspected shooter, a man wearing a bandanna across his face walked into the store about 10 p.m., ordering everyone inside to the ground, while he took cash, alcohol and cigarettes, according to reports.
The man who was shot, is recovering at Providence Hospital as of press time.
The owner of the store declined to comment on the shooting. Another employee who did not want to be identified said the store is fine.
“Everything is OK,” the employee said.
Messages left with the police were not returned by press time.
