DEARBORN — A preliminary examination was rescheduled to 1 p.m. Aug. 17 for four Detroit residents alleged to have killed a Dearborn man July 15.

Charles Jackson, 26; Zelda Taylor, 28; Iashia Knox, 28; and Kristen Holmes, 28, were arraigned July 23 on charges of felony murder, after 45-year-old Hassan Jaber died of blunt force trauma to the head in his house in the 6200 block of Williamson, according to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police arrested the suspects July 20.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said the motive behind the crime appears to be robbery.
