ALLEN PARK–Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly attacked and robbed a woman on her way home from Keefers Blue Line Grill, 6736 Allen, about 2 a.m.Aug. 28.
The woman, 24, said she was walking home and was near the 7600 block of Allen when a man, described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with a goatee and wearing a white tank top with a star tattoo on his chest, ran up behind her and covered her mouth with his hand.
The suspect allegedly told the women that he had been watching her all night at the bar and his friends “dared him to do this” but he would not hurt her.
The woman said she fought back, ripping the man’s shirt and striking him with her purse. She ran east toward an alley where the man tackled her but she kicked him repeatedly until he ran away.
She said the man got into a silver sport utility vehicle and and left in an unknown direction. The woman ran home and called 911.
The woman’s missing hat and cell phone were later found near the scene but her missing keys were not. It is unknown whether the suspect stole them.
A dog chain was found near the cell phone but the victim was unsure whether it was used in the attack.
