DEARBORN — Four Detroit residents accused of killing a local man have a pretrial date set for Feb. 1, 2013, at Third Circuit Court before Judge Michael Callahan, after a final conference on Nov. 2.

On July 20 Dearborn police arrested Charles Jackson, 26; Zelda Taylor, 28; Iashia Knox, 28; and Kristen Holmes, 28, in connection with the death of 45-year-old Hassan Jaber.

Police believe Jaber died July 12 in his house in the 6200 block of Williamson; he was found dead July 15 in his bedroom. Police believe he was killed with a tree branch.

The preliminary exam for the four took place Aug. 28 and Aug. 31. Nineteenth District Court Judge Mark Somers presided over the case.

The defendants were arraigned July 23 on charges of felony murder, punishable by life in prison without the possibility of parole, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, both punishable by up to life in prison.

They are being held at the Wayne County Jail without bond.
