DEARBORN – The Dearborn Community Arts Council will host a community get together from 6 to 8 p.m. June 26 at the Henry Ford Centennial Library to showcase the Fender Bender artwork created using car fenders.
This gathering is a part of a series of events throughout the year that are celebrating the 150th birthday of Henry Ford.
Tickets are $5 per person and include all-you-can-eat hot dogs and one beverage. The ticket price is reflective of the landmark $5 a day wage Ford paid his workforce.
Seventeen craftsmen ranging from amateur to professional have taken this concept and have designed unique artistic creations.
This will be the only time that all of these finished sculptures will be in one location for viewing before being displayed throughout Dearborn and southeast Michigan.
A map of the sculptures and the schedule they will be at each location is available at www.dcacarts.org
The city of Dearborn, Ford Motor Co., Dearborn Federal Savings Bank, Dearborn Sausage and the MotorCities National Heritage Area are sponsors.
