LIVONIA — Yoga classes held through Schoolcraft College’s Continuing
Education and Professional Development have moved from an off-site location to a newly renovated room on the second floor of the Physical Education Building.
The building includes new flooring and upgraded lighting plus the added conveniences of being co-located with other fitness classes on Schoolcraft’s campus.
Yoga classes are just a part of several fitness and wellness classes offered by Schoolcraft’s Continuing Education department, all of which are now being held in upgraded facilities located in the Physical Education building, which includes Schoolcraft’s state of the art Fitness Center, which completed a massive renovation last summer.
The change to the yoga classes took effect for classes starting in September.
Registration for fall CEPD classes is ongoing, and there are yoga classes which begin in December as well as January but typically fill quickly.
Prices vary but people aged 60 and up are eligible for discounted class registrations of up to 50 percent on physical fitness
classes.
