DEARBORN — Henry Ford College will host “Imagine the Possibilities: Non-Traditional Careers for Women in Technology” from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Patterson Technical Building on the main campus, 5101 Evergreen.

HFC faculty members will speak about their respective academic areas and available career opportunities in their fields.
Faculty presenters include:
• Imad Nouri, associate dean of Counseling.
• Brenda Hildreth, coordinator of Student Outreach & Support.
• Marrci Conner, lead faculty of Computer Information Systems.
• Greg Osowski, lead faculty of Criminal Justice.
• Guy Pizzino, lead faculty of Machine Tool Technology/CNC.
• Eric Gackenbach, executive chef/academic coordinator of Hospitality Services.
• Chad Austin of Career Services.
• Chad Richert, lead faculty of Architecture/Construction Technology.
• Gregory Laskowski, lead faculty of Energy Technology.
• Roger Weekes, lead faculty of Industrial Drafting/CAD.
The speakers will open up a dialogue with the audience, as well as provide lab observation experiences. The seminar is also designed to field questions about the programs.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for women to learn about many of the non-traditional education and career opportunities in technology available at HFC,” said Diane Green, licensed professional counselor at HFC. “Our lead faculty and staff do an exceptional job in making this experience real through tours of their instructional labs and presentations by female students currently matriculating in the various programs.”
Lunch will be available following speaking sessions, as well as a raffle.
