Police searching for garage arson suspect

September 25, 2015 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who may be responsible for a garage fire Sept.17.

The man was seen riding a bicycle in the alley behind the 6500 block of Orchard stopping at a house where a garage was ignited and caught fire.
The man quickly fled on the bike from the area after the fire was started, about 7 p.m.

A surveillance video showed the man to be white, in his 20s or 30s with an average build. He was wearing a baseball hat and shorts.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect to call 313-943-3012 or 313-943-3030.

“We strongly encourage anyone with information to come forward and assist us in identifying the suspect in this case,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.
