DEARBORN — Toys R Us, 24411 Michigan Ave., is scheduled to close in June after the property sold.
“The Dearborn Toys R Us store will be closing at the beginning of June due to the sale of the property,” Toys R Us Corporate Communications Manager Alyssa Peera said in an email. “We’ve enjoyed serving the Dearborn community for many years.”
The property was sold to Michigan and Telegraph Ventures, LLC, in Birmingham. Further information regarding the property sale was not made available.
Current employees at the store will be offered jobs at other locations throughout the area.
Toys R Us in Westland, 34800 Warren Road; Southgate, 14333 Eureka Road; and in Taylor, 14544 Racho Road, will remain open.
The Dearborn store is holding liquidation sales with 40 to 50 percent off toys. Remaining merchandise will be moved to other stores or distribution centers in the area.
