Trash delayed in Dearborn, city buildings closed for Fourth of July holiday

June 30, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

Public Service Days do not change

DEARBORN – The Fourth of July holiday will cause a delay in trash pickup and closure of city buildings.

Trash pickup will be delayed by one day beginning July 4, through the week, ending with the collection of the Friday district on July 9.

The Dearborn Administrative Center, Dearborn Ice Skating Center, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and city libraries will be closed July 4. The Robert Herndon Dearborn Hills Golf Course will remain open all day.

All city buildings will reopen July 5.

Public Service Days do not change on holidays weeks, even when trash days change.

If a Public Service Day is Tuesday, it remains Tuesday even though trash will be picked up Wednesday during the week of July 4 to 8.

Keep parked vehicles off the street on regular Public Service Days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
