ALLEN PARK – The 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor will be remembered at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at American Legion Post 409, 6737 Allen Road.

Sponsored by the Allen Park Historical Museum, admission is $10, with a $5 discount for veterans and children. All proceeds will benefit the Allen Park Historical Museum.

Pearl Harbor Day commemorates the victims of the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, which launched the U.S. into World War II on Dec. 7, 1941.

Suzanne Hartsell Downing will present the personal historical record and artifacts left behind by her father, the late Army Maj. Horace Hartsell, chaplain and photographer for General George Patton.

Historical Museum volunteer Ray Magusin said it is hard to believe that 75 years have passed.

“It is a day that should be remembered,” he said. “I would highly recommend everyone show up, even the young kids, because they really do not understand what Pearl Harbor was all about.”

For tickets, call Linda Milne at 313-388-2703 or Sharon Broglin at 313-383-2453.
