DEARBORN – Racers who plan to participate in the Second Annual Dearborn Homecoming 5K and Fun Run on Aug. 6 still may take advantage of early registration in order to take advantage of a discount.
Runners who sign up before 11:59 p.m. June 30 will pay $32, then registration will increase to $35 through race day.
The 5-kilometer race will step off at 8 a.m. from Ford Field Park, 22051 Cherry Hill Road, and loop along the Rouge River Gateway trail near the University of Michigan-Dearborn before returning to the park. Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers and by gender in 12 age groups.
The 1-mile Family Fun Run is a chance for racers of all ages and abilities to participate in the event. The Fun Run registration rate is $15. It starts at 7:45 a.m.

Registration includes a custom Second Annual Dearborn Homecoming 5K T-shirt (register by July 28 to be guaranteed a shirt), a custom Dearborn Homecoming bib number, live results, and post-race food and drinks.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the nonprofit Dearborn Community Fund.
Homecoming runs from Aug 4 to 6 at Ford Field Park.
