DEARBORN — The Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying a man who stole cash from a register during a strong armed robbery July 21 at CVS/pharmacy, 10335 W. Warren Ave.

The robber was described as a tall black male with a muscular build, and wearing a red shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call 313-943-2241, or 800-CrimeStoppers if they wish to remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for the information leading to the arrest of the robber.

At the scene, CVS employees told responding officers that the man approached the counter to purchase merchandise. When the clerk opened the register, the man leaned over the counter and forcibly took the cash from the register.

The clerk attempted to prevent the theft, but the man pushed her away and fled on foot.

“The boldness of this act is disturbing, as this suspect committed this act with no concern for the employee or other shoppers,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. “The Dearborn Police Department is hoping someone can identify this suspect before his actions result in greater violence.”
