DEARBORN – The Dearborn Historical Museum invites children and their favorite furry friends to the annual Teddy Bear Picnic from 10 a.m. to noon July 28 at the McFadden-Ross House, 915 S. Brady St.
Admission is $2 per child.
The Teddy Bear Picnic will include games, crafts, a parade and competitions. The event will also supply free A&W root beer as well as a first aid station for minor toy repairs.
This year’s competitions will award prizes for largest, fuzziest, best dressed and most look-alike bear, although there are plenty of prizes to ensure that no child walks away empty handed. Entry into each contest is included in the admission fee to give every child under the age of 12 the opportunity to enter all of the contests.
The Teddy Bear Picnic is a long-standing tradition at the Dearborn Historical Museum. After a seven-year absence, the Museum brought back the event in 2013 and continues annually to supply the fun-filled morning for every member of the family to enjoy – paws and all.
More information about the picnic is available at 313-565-3000.
