DEARBORN — The Fire Department is investigating the reason behind a March 16 fire at Wing Fingers, 5901 Schaefer Road, which caused interior and exterior damage to the building.
Firefighters responded to the restaurant to find the owner and employees outside and heavy, black smoke emanating from the building. Firefighters were unable to enter the building, but worked from above the restaurant in order to quickly put out the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Water and fire damage to the building will cause the restaurant to close for an unknown amount of time. An email sent for information on future plans for the restaurant was not returned by press time.
Wing Fingers opened in early 2017 in the building where Burger King once was located. The restaurant offered wings, brick oven pizza, burgers, subs, wraps and salads, according to its website.
