Trash collection delayed, city buildings closed for Fourth of July holiday

June 28, 2019 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – The Independence Day holiday on July 4 will cause a delay in trash pickup and closure of city buildings.

Trash, recycling and yard waste pickup will be delayed by one day beginning July 4, through the end of the week, ending with the collection of the Friday district on July 6.

The Dearborn Administrative Center, Dearborn Ice Skating Center, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and city libraries will be closed July 4. Robert Herndon Dearborn Hills Golf Course will remain open all day.

All city buildings will reopen July 5.

Public Service Days parking restrictions are not enforced during weeks with holidays that change the trash schedule.
