A short but heavy rainstorm caused flooding in Dearborn the evening of July 15, causing water to accumulate on Greenfield, making in impassable south of Michigan Avenue, under the railroad viaduct, near the post office. Flooding also occurred on the northbound Southfield between Outer Drive and Village Road, on the Dearborn-Allen Park border, with traffic rerouted onto the service drive, and in Dearborn on Greenfield Road under the railroad viaduct south of I-94 and north of Butler Road, just north of the Melvindale city limits.
