WYANDOTTE – An enraged, drunken 39-year-old man slammed a whiskey glass against the wall before grabbing his gun and shooting it inside the house, following an early morning argument with his wife, police said.

Police officers, who responded to a 3:56 a.m. Jan. 10 call of shots being fired, discovered clear and incontrovertible evidence that the man discharged the gun inside the residence, where his wife and three children were at the time.

The responding police officers were able to separate the man from his firearm without incident, and arrested him for possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

His family was physically unharmed. An arraignment date is pending.
