MELVINDALE — A vandal deliberately destroyed four soffits at the rear of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 19624 Wood St., on Jan. 10, as seen on surveillance footage, a church official reported.

The vandal, a male dressed in black, with a hooded jacket and a medium complexion, was seen entering the church grounds through the alley, from the south side of the property, and later left on foot north through the alley.
