DEARBORN — A Detroit woman was banned from Country Inn and Suites, 24555 Michigan Ave., on Jan. 21 following a dispute over the length of stay for which she thought she had paid.

The manager said that the guest had checked in at 2:09 a.m. Jan. 21, and was told that the checkout time was 11a.m., which she thought meant the next day. The manager said 4 a.m. is considered a “new day” from a rental perspective.

The room was not damaged. The woman, whom the manager banned henceforth from the location, said she would get her deposit refunded through the hotel’s corporate office.
