DEARBORN — A woman driving too fast for conditions the night of Feb. 19 lost control of her Ford Edge after the vehicle blew a tire while northbound on Monroe Street, striking a light pole at Snow Avenue.

The women’s vehicle then traveled across the sidewalk and the west lawn of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 21915 Beech, leaving tracks in the snow, before landing in a snowbank on the north side of Beech Street.

Dearborn fire rescue secured the exposed wires on the light pole, while the woman’s vehicle was impounded and towed. The woman was cited for reckless driving.
