Jacob DiMara, 28, of Dearborn, who works for the Ford Motor Co., created a snow Bronco on Nowlin Street, north of Monroe Street.

DEARBORN – Jacob DiMaria, 28, Ford fan and employee, took advantage of the plentiful snow to craft a special edition Ford Bronco, which is ready for everything except an extended heat wave.

The Bronco, parked on his front lawn on Nowlin Street, north of Monroe Street, took DiMaria a few evenings after work to complete, using a snow shovel and a piece of wood to straighten the sides and carve out the details.

He said the sculpture is solid snow, with no filler or hollow spots.

DiMaria said he finds snow sculpting fun, and has made a Ford Mustang and a model of the historic Michigan Central train station in Detroit in the past.

He said snow packs best when the weather is just above freezing.
