Carlesa Taylor, 18, of Dearborn Heights was one of two people shot and killed in a triple shooting Feb. 26 in Detroit. She was a star basketball player who played at Henry Ford Academy, Ecorse High School and frequently at HYPE Athletics in Dearborn Heights. A candlelight vigil and balloon release was held at HYPE Feb. 28 honoring Taylor.
