RIVERVIEW — Police were dispatched to the area of Pennsylvania and Quarry roads Feb. 7 for a two-vehicle car crash.

Officers spoke with the drivers of both vehicles. The on-scene investigation revealed that a white Ford Explorer was stopped at the red light for eastbound Pennsylvania. When the light turned green, the Explorer started accelerate as a blue Ford Focus pulled out of a parking lot on Pennsylvania and attempted to go east as well. The Explorer’s driver’s side fender made contact with the Focus’ passenger side rear wheel well, leaving a scrape on the plastic. As a result, there was a dent on the fender on the Focus.

According to the report, both vehicles appeared to have less than $1,000 damage and both drivers were advised an information report would be completed.
