SOUTHGATE — A fire that began in a backyard greenhouse in the 14000 block of Forest Street in Southgate March 3 spread to the resident’s wooden fence, and damaged a neighbor’s plastic fence and shed before it was contained.
There was no known cause of the fire in the greenhouse, which was not wired for electricity. There were no injuries, and the fire marshal was conducting an investigation.
