ALLEN PARK — A 40-year-old Huron Township man whom security personnel saw trying numerous vehicle door handles in the parking lot at Meijer, 3565 Fairlane Drive, was arrested March 14 for violation of the controlled substance act when he was found to have non-prescription narcotics in his possession.

The man claimed he was looking for his own vehicle, a black 2020 Chevy Blazer, and said he had entered several other vehicles that looked similar. At the time of the report, no tampering or larceny from auto reports had been filed.

When the man consented to a search, four Alprazolam (Xanax) 2 milligram pills, four Quetiapine Fumarate (an atypical antipsychotic) 200 milligram pills, and two Quetiapine Fumarate ER 400 milligram pills were found in a waist pack in a blue plastic container without a prescription label. The pills were seized and his vehicle was impounded and towed.
