TRENTON — Officers recovered a silver Hyundai Elantra from a driveway on Pinetree Drive Feb. 20 after Enterprise Car Rental contacted police Feb. 19.
It had a New Jersey license plate and was listed as stolen out of Woodhaven. Enterprise informed police that based on GPS the Hyundai was in the area of Van Horn and Turner roads. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate it.
The renter’s name was also provided to police and from previous contacts officers knew were the possible suspect stayed. They made contact at the house and spoke to someone who said she didn’t know where the suspect went, but was able to provide the Hyundai’s keys.
The Hyundai was towed and Woodhaven police canceled the Hyundai as a stolen vehicle. There was no damage to the Hyundai.
