RIVERVIEW — The victim of a hit-and-run Feb. 20 called police to Quarry Road after he observed the driver’s side mirror of his black Chevy Tahoe was lying in the road.

Once on the scene, police saw the Chevy parked on the west side of Quarry facing south in front of the address from which the victim called. They always noticed the driver’s side mirror was missing and that the glass from the mirror was on the road just south of the Chevy.

The victim said he parked the Chevy on the street about 4 p.m. and returned just before 5 p.m. to find the damage. He told police that he did not hear or see the striking vehicle.

There was no other damage to the Chevy. The victim said he did not wish to pursue charges and only wanted an accident report to submit to his insurance company.
