LINCOLN PARK — An identity thief in San Francisco used a 53-year-old Lincoln Park woman’s identity information to file for California unemployment benefits.
The victim, who filed a police report Feb. 25, said she has fallen prey to identity theft in the past. She was advised to place a fraud alert on her credit report, and to follow up with the police detective bureau if she learns anything further.
