HEIGHTS — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office arrested Eugene Lemons of Dearborn Heights who was wanted by the Detroit police in connection to a homicide.
On March 25, the Bluffton Police Department asked the sheriff’s office for assistance arresting Lemons after an investigation revealed he was in the Bluffton, Ohio, area.
Further investigation determined that Lemons was at the Fairway Inn, 855 State Route 103, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
He was taken into custody without incident by detectives from the sheriff’s office and members of the Bluffton Police Department.
A search warrant was obtained from the Findlay Municipal Court for Lemons room at the hotel where two high-powered rifles and ammunition were discovered and seized.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
