RIVERVIEW — Police were dispatched to Valade and Vreeland streets March 6 for a vehicle fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash.

Dispatch advised that the fleeing vehicle was a silver pickup truck and that the truck turned west on Pennsylvania Road. The victim did not know the make or model. Responding officers checked Pennsylvania Road from Fort Street to Allen Road, but did not locate the pickup.

The first victim said he was traveling with his daughter south on Valade just north of Vreeland when the pickup truck, traveling north, hit the sideview mirror on his black Ford F-250. He said mirror was not damaged; however, he did have a confrontation with the other driver.

The driver said the pickup driver was a white man with a beard, about 6 feet tall and a stocky build, wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans. He said the driver threatened him so he called police, after which the driver fled.

An investigation determined that there were video cameras nearby that face Valade Street. When police spoke to the resident at the address, he said he would review the video and call the department if he found anything.
