SOUTHGATE — A woman who said her cell phone fell out of her pocket the evening of May 7 in the parking lot at Outback Steakhouse, 15765 Eureka Road, used another device to call her phone, only to be told by the person answering it that they did not plan to return the device.

The victim said her cell phone, valued at $1,600, was a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smart phone in a black OtterBox Defender case.

She was given a case number for her insurance company, and advised to call her mobile provider to disable the phone service.
