MELVINDALE — A boy shooting marbles at other children with a homemade slingshot June 19 at Coogan Park, 17951 Robert St., was remanded to the custody of his father after a heart-to-heart talk with police officers.
The boy was warned that he could have seriously injured someone and been subject to assault charges. The police officers advised the father that it was up to him to discipline his son.
