MELVINDALE — A shoplifter made a speedy getaway with nine to 10 bottles of liquor the night of June 12 from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 4016 Oakwood Blvd.

A store clerk said the man was Hispanic, about 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a narrow nose and a medium build. He was wearing camouflage shorts, a dark golf hat, a black shirt and a black mask.

He left the store with a hand basket filled with the liquor bottles, and drove off in a red Chevrolet.

Store personnel agreed to retrieve and forward store surveillance footage to the police detective bureau.
