Longtime Allen Park resident Eileen Shades marks her 100th birthday during a drive-by parade July 1 outside Beaumont Commons, Dearborn, 16351 Rotunda Drive. Shades was surrounded by loved ones as she celebrated. Beaumont Commons’ Activities Supervisor Shavon Baker read a proclamation from Allen Park Mayor Gail McLeod honoring Shades’ centennial.
