DEARBORN — Neighborhood fireworks set off the night of July 4 hit a nearby house in the 3400 block of Dudley Street, damaging its siding.

Police officers who investigated the damage July 5 observed a baseball sized dent in the siding, as well as burn marks, with shrapnel remains on the victim’s porch.

The resident said her neighbors had been shooting off fireworks the night of July 4, but she did not see who set off the fireworks that hit her house.

She was given a police report for her insurance company.
