DEARBORN — A would-be checkout line jumper became a thief July 6 at Home Depot, 5951 Mercury Drive, when an employee told the woman that she could not cut ahead of other customers in line.
The woman, who was holding a child and a $30 hand pump, yelled at the employee and said she was not going to pay for the item, then walked out of the store.
The employee said the woman, described as black, heavy set, wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and a brown fanny pack, drove off in a newer model silver Chevy Malibu with front and rear end damage, and a paper license plate.
