LINCOLN PARK — A scam artist claiming to be a computer security expert with a nationwide electronics store called a 64-year-old Lincoln Park man and told him that if he did not renew his account security, his past computer financial transactions would no longer be secure.

The victim made an electronic fund transfer, which he later discovered was not received by the store. He then initiated a fraud investigation through his bank, which requested he file a police report.
