LINCOLN PARK — Green Sweep Tree Services defrauded a woman in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue by cashing checks for tree removal and lawn maintenance while failing to provide any services.

The victim said she paid a deposit by check for tree removal on May 9, and wrote another check for lawn mowing on May 10, at which time a June 1 completion date was promised. However, no work has been completed, and the resident has been unable to reach the man who took her payments.

She was advised to get copies of her canceled checks from her bank and forward them to the police detective bureau.
