ALLEN PARK — A woman was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, no insurance and speeding July 11 on Outer Drive.

Police observed a black Chrysler Sebring traveling at a high rate of speed in the middle lane westbound on Outer Drive July 11. They paced the vehicle traveling 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officer turned on his lights, but the woman drove about another mile before coming to a stop.

The officer spoke to the woman and noticed a small child approximately 4 years old in the middle seat. The woman said her license was suspended, and police learned that her insurance was expired.

The officer told the woman she was being released because she had a child with her that day. When the officer told her the vehicle was being impounded, she became irate and belligerent.

The woman and her child were picked up, according to the report. The Chrysler was towed, the license plate was confiscated for evidence and a temporary plate was issued, the report said.
