SOUTHGATE — A worker staying at the La Quinta Inn, 12888 Reeck Road, discovered the morning of July 15 that work equipment was stolen overnight from his car, a green 2015 Kia Soul.

The stolen property, cumulatively valued at $835, included a computer tablet, safety vest, knee pads, laptop, headset and backpack.

The victim said he thought he locked the car, but it is possible that he left it unlocked.

Police officers found no signs of forced entry. There were no nearby surveillance cameras, and no suspects.
