HEIGHTS — Police were dispatched to a house in the 24400 block of McDonald Aug. 7 for a break-in of a garage overnight. The victim said the garage door was left wide open due to his three kittens sleeping there. He also told police that his wife had been inside the garage and had touched the doorknob and items inside.
About 2 a.m., the couple walked into the garage to check on the kittens and left the garage door open and went inside the house for the night. About 9 a.m., the victim went outside and noticed the three kittens and tools missing.
Two red Troybilt lawnmowers; one gas powered weed trimmer; one Macullian 3HP four-wheel edger; one silver 2002 Ford Think Electric Bike; one battery power leaf blower with charger and battery; and one Ryobi edger with battery and charger.
The victim said he was going to look for receipts and provide them to police. No suspect information was available.
