DEARBORN — A friend-of-a-friend who had been “hanging out” at a Dearborn woman’s house on Aug. 1 aggressively demanded the keys to her 2007 Chrysler Pacifica minivan, then a day later demanded $100 through a cash app before he would return the vehicle.
The man also stole the woman’s Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency debit card from her purse, which he used to book a Warren motel room, and a laptop computer, which he removed from her kitchen.
The minivan was later found abandoned in Warren, with a broken driver’s side window. No arrest was made in connection with the theft.
