DEARBORN — A speeding driver with an unregistered Infinity G37 had his car impounded Sept. 13 and was cited for reckless driving, with an appearance in 19th District Court pending.

A police officer saw the man tailgating a vehicle on eastbound Warren Avenue, near Payne, after which he rapidly changed lanes, without signaling, to pass the vehicle, and then accelerated to a high rate of speed.

A traffic stop was initiated near Warren Avenue and Chase Road. The driver said he was on his way to pick up his nephew to take him to the hospital, and admitted that he drove in an unsafe manner.
