DEARBORN — A dash cam captured a road-rage incident directed at a Dearborn man in a Chevy Silverado the evening of Sept. 22, near Michigan Avenue and Telegraph Road.

The license plate number of the aggressor’s vehicle, a silver 2017 Chevy Malibu, which was provided to police officers, was registered to a Dearborn Heights man.

The victim, who had his young daughter in his pickup with him, said he did not know what caused the other driver to yell at him, cut him off and brake check him. He said that when the vehicles reached the intersection of Michigan and Telegraph, the driver blocked all three lanes of traffic to try to prevent him from proceeding. When the Silverado driver tried to maneuver around the Malibu, the other driver remained in front of him, repeatedly applying his brakes.

The victim then pulled into a Taco Bell to end the confrontation, but the Malibu driver pulled into a nearby gas station, then made his way toward the victim, and yelled threats at him.

The aggressor drove off before police arrived. The victim said he would download the dash cam video at home and forward it to police officers if desired.
