ALLEN PARK — Police were dispatched to Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 9000 Enterprise Drive, Sept. 16 on a report of a larceny from a white Chevy Express. The victim said he parked the company-owned van in the lot about 6 p.m. Sept. 15 in the single row parking spaces on the west side of the hotel.
When he was preparing for work the next morning, the victim observed the driver side window of the Chevy broken out and his wallet missing from the center console where he left it overnight,
There were multiple tools inside of the van that were untouched. The victim said there were multiple company-owned vehicles parked overnight in the same lot, but only his was tampered with.
According to the report, a black leather Fox Racing wallet containing the victim’s driver’s license, Social Security card, a prepaid debit card and unknown small amount of cash. The prepaid card was already cancelled at the time of the report.
A security camera facing directly toward where the vehicle was parked overnight was found by police and when asked about it, hotel staff said they could not access it, but the manager would be able to.
There was no further information.
