The driver of a red Jeep Compass and a passenger died in a single vehicle crash Oct. 3 at Allen Road and Garfield. About 3 a.m., police responded to the scene where they found the Jeep had knocked down two street lights, one fire hydrant and part of a tree. The investigation is ongoing but police do believe alcohol and speed were factors.
